You will find all of this in Guagno, a typical village at a height of 2250 ft. Guagno is set in the middle of pine and chesnut forests, at the foot of Monte Rotondo (8600 ft height).
If you fancy hiking you will find magnificent mountainous landscapes a few hours'walk from there and see the most beautiful glacial lakes in Corsica. But if you are a bit scared by long hikes, you can however enjoy a lot of very nice short walks around the village.

The thermal spa Guagno-les-Bains is 5 mi away. Its sulphurous waters have been famous since the XVIth Century. The water-cure establishment was built at the time of Napoleon III, and it has attractive architectural features. It is a place where rheumatism and skin conditions are treated. The hot spring a Voccia runs in a small building situated 1/2 mi away : it is well known for its beneficial effects to the eyes, throat and skin. You will also be able to see there the large marble bath of Napoleon III's wife, Empress Eugénie who used to come to take care of her skin.
